The EEP combines researchers from several institutions, including DELTA and INRA. Since October 2007, the department is headed by François Bourguignon.
Foundation and Organization
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin in 2007 and located in Paris, the PSE will draw staff from : l' École normale supérieure, l' École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, l' École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), l' Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), the . It is part of the French official research center, the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS).
International Standing
Its contributory economics faculties, including the Ecole Polytechnique, the Ecole Normale Superieure and ENSAE, are ranked between the top 40 and 73 departments worldwide by publication output of the top 5 scholars. The EEP aim is to be one of the top global institutions for economic research, as Harvard, the MIT and the London School of Economics.
